Employees from Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, under the auspices of Friends of Osinbajo, assisted 500 Nigerians in Ikenne, Ogun state, with naked eye surgeries and corrective actions within 48 hours.

The initiative that sparked joyous emotions among beneficiaries is also expected to move across the country.

In a statement sent to Legit.ng On Wednesday May 26, organizers of the initiative announced that 6,000 eye surgeries would be performed in six geopolitical zones across the country within six weeks.

Many beneficiaries who were targeted again after the surgery on the naked eye thanked the organizers and thanked the Vice President and his friends. They found that the impact of the initiative on the Ikenne community and on their individual lives cannot be quantified.

According to the organizers, the goal is to have 6000 eye surgeries performed in phases in the 6 geopolitical zones within 6 weeks of the medical intervention.

The organizers also announced that the second phase of the exercise will take place between Wednesday June 30 and Friday June 2 at Idi Iroko General Hospital, while the final phase of the state’s public relations will be on Monday June 7, will take place and will end on Wednesday June 9th of the same month at Owode Egba General Hospital.
